Britt Music & Arts Festival Announces their 2025 Britt Festival Orchestra Line Up

The Britt Festival Orchestra (BFO) announces its 2025 season, with three weeks of exciting outdoor programming in historic Jacksonville, Oregon, June 12 – 28, 2025. Under the leadership of four guest conductors, Damon Gupton (June 12-13); Chia-Hsuan Lin (June 15-18); Roberto Kalb (June 21-23); and Normal Huynh (June 26-28) the Orchestra’s 63rd season highlights a feature film alongside beloved classical favorites.

The season features seven extraordinary guest artists: pianist Clayton Stephenson performing Ravel’s Concerto in G Major; violinist William Hagen performing Korngold’s Concerto in D Major; violinist Tessa Lark and cellist Wei Yu performing Brahms Double concerto for Violin & Violoncello in A minorvocalist Sun-Ly Pierce performing Ravel’s Shéhérazade; pianist Jaeden Izik-Dzurko performing Rachmaninoff’s Concerto No. 3 in D minor; and violinist Simone Porter performing Stravinsky’s Violin Concerto in D and Ravel’s TziganeThe season will begin with two evenings of Jurassic Park in Concert where John Williams’ score will be performed live-to-picture by the full orchestra in one of the most beloved films of the 20th Century.

Chia-Hsuan Lin (pronounced “jah-shwan”)
A dynamic force in the orchestral world, Chia-Hsuan Lin has earned acclaim for her powerful leadership and compelling artistry. She has conducted prestigious ensembles worldwide and is celebrated for her innovative programming and vibrant connection with musicians and audiences alike. She is currently Music Director of the Rochester Symphony and Chorale in Minnesota.

Roberto Kalb
Roberto Kalb Hailing from Mexico, Roberto Kalb has gained recognition for his masterful technique and expressive performances. As a sought-after conductor in opera and symphonic music, his expertise spans a wide repertoire, earning him accolades on stages across the globe. He is currently Music Director of the Detroit Opera in Michigan.

Norman Huynh
Returning to Britt after leading the BFO during The Princess Bride in 2023, Norman Huynh has established himself as a conductor of remarkable vision and charisma. Known for his engaging stage presence, Huynh is committed to making classical music accessible to all, blending tradition with bold creativity. He is currently Music Director of the Bozeman Symphony Orchestra in Montana.

Damon Gupton
Damon Gupton is a distinguished conductor celebrated for his expressive leadership and artistry. A graduate of the University of Michigan and Aspen Music Festival Conducting Program, he has led renowned ensembles such as the Boston Pops, Cincinnati Symphony, and Detroit Symphony. Also a celebrated actor, his film and television credits include Criminal MindsBlack Lightning, and La La Land. He is currently the Principal Guest Conductor of the Cincinnati Pops.
