Red Yarn: Folk Song & Puppetry Workshop

5-8 yrs

Adult participation Required

In this hour-long workshop, artist and teacher Red Yarn will first coach participants in singing a traditional American folk song. Then, Red Yarn will guide fledging songsters through a simple puppet-building project responsibly designing paper bag puppets with simple craft materials representing the folk song’s animal characters. At the conclusion of the workshop, participants will perform the song they have learned with their puppets singing and moving along!
